Army Institute of Education Hosts ‘Anusmaran’ Alumni Meet and First Convocation

Greater Noida News (16/03/2026): The Army Institute of Education, Greater Noida, organized a grand Alumni Meet titled “Anusmaran” on March 14, along with its first Convocation Ceremony. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from alumni who gathered to reconnect with their alma mater and share memories from their student life. The primary objective of the program was to strengthen the relationship between former students and the institution while also creating meaningful interaction with the current batch of students.

The ceremony was graced by Major General P. R. Murali, Managing Director of the Army Welfare Education Society, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Pratibha Garg, Additional Director (Academics), AWES Cell (Western Command), attended the event as the Guest of Honor. The institute extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and honored them with mementos.

Addressing the gathering, Major General P.R. Murali emphasized that every child possesses unique abilities that must be identified and nurtured by educators. He stated that teachers have a crucial responsibility to guide students toward the right direction based on their individual strengths. Highlighting the immense potential of Indian youth, he said that recognizing and encouraging talent at every level plays a key role in the holistic development of a nation.

Student Honored for University Gold Medal

During the event, Nikita Rani, a student of B.Ed. Special Education (LD), was felicitated for winning a gold medal at the university level. The dignitaries congratulated her achievement and remarked that such accomplishments bring pride not only to the student but also to the institution and the university.

Cultural Performances Added Vibrancy to the Event

To celebrate the occasion, current students presented a series of cultural performances, including yoga demonstrations, dance performances, and musical renditions. These presentations created a lively atmosphere and helped alumni relive their cherished memories from their student days.

Meritorious Students Honored in Memory of Martyrs

In a gesture to honor the sacrifices of the nation’s brave martyrs, several meritorious students were awarded during the program. Students Akash, Nilu, Priya, Reema, Shyamali, and Nikita received cash prizes and certificates for their outstanding academic achievements.

Principal’s Inspiring Message

The institute’s Principal, Dr. Abhilasha Gautam, encouraged students to uphold the values and reputation of the institution wherever they go after completing their education. She said that through dedication, professionalism, and ethical conduct, students can contribute positively to society while bringing recognition to their alma mater. She also expressed confidence that the institute’s alumni and students will continue to work towards meaningful social change.

Former Faculty and Registrar Felicitated

The event also honored former faculty members and the former Registrar who had played an important role in the development of the institution. Those felicitated included Col. Y.P.S. Wadhwa (Retd.), Col. B.K. Bhardwaj (Retd.), Col. Hitesh Lav, and Col. Abhay Rajvanshi (Retd.). Their contributions to the institute were acknowledged and appreciated during the ceremony.

Program Concludes with Vote of Thanks

The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by the Acting Registrar, Dr. Kriti Guleria, who expressed gratitude to the guests, alumni, faculty members, and students for making the event successful. She noted that such gatherings help strengthen the sense of belonging among members of the institution and carry forward its traditions.
