Christmas Eve Grand Mass Marks Joyful Beginning of Festive Celebrations in Greater Noida

Greater Noida News (25/12/2025): The festive spirit of Christmas enveloped Greater Noida as formal celebrations commenced on the night of December 24 with the solemn and grand Christmas Eve Mass held at St. Joseph’s Church. The Mass was led by Fr. Andrew Correia, Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Church, Greater Noida. Prominent members of the Christian community, including Fr. Jipson Palatty, Principal of St. Joseph’s School; Glenn Franshaw; Fr. Saji Palamattom, Principal of Jesus and Mary School; and Sister Rekha, Principal of Ursuline School, were present on the occasion. Christians from across the city gathered in large numbers at churches to mark the birth of Lord Jesus Christ, offering prayers with deep faith, devotion, and a spirit of joy.

The midnight Mass was marked by the proclamation of readings from the Holy Bible and the Gospel, followed by a sermon reflecting on the life, teachings, and mission of Lord Jesus Christ. The message focused on His role as the redeemer of humanity and His sacrifice for the salvation of mankind from sin. The congregation participated in prayers and hymns, creating an atmosphere of peace, unity, and spiritual reflection.

During the sermon, the priest highlighted the values embodied by Jesus Christ during His earthly life, emphasizing His compassion for the poor, the suffering, and the marginalized. References were made to His miracles—restoring sight to the blind, speech to the mute, hearing to the deaf, and healing the sick—underscoring His message of love, service, and selfless compassion. The teachings of Christ, which continue to inspire millions worldwide, were described as a guiding light for building a just and humane society.

The Christian community, following the path shown by Jesus Christ, has long been engaged in service to humanity. Through educational institutions, hospitals, and various social welfare initiatives, the community continues to work for the upliftment of society, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion.
