On 25/08/2014, information was received that a racketeer involved in getting admitted students in a prestigious South Delhi College of Delhi University on the basis of forged marksheets/documents would come to Dwarka in a Ford Endeavour.  On this information a trap was laid and Arvind Yadav (aged 28 years) s/o Tribhuvan Yadav r/o Gurgaon, Haryana was apprehended. Forged documents and a forged stamp of a Doctor of Government Hospital were recovered from his possession.  A case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered at PS Crime Branch.

Arvind Yadav was subjected to intensive interrogation.  He disclosed that after completing his graduation from a college in Delhi University, he set up a transport business.  However, the earnings from his business were not enough to sustain his lavish life style.  Being an earlier student of Delhi University he was aware about the loopholes in the admission process and decided to exploit it.  He roped in Daya Ram (aged 36 years) s/o Champat Singh r/o Bulandsahar, UP, an Ex. Teacher in a private school in Bulandsahar. Daya Ram arranged forged documents including educational certificates.

In 2013, Arvind Yadav got admitted three students on the basis of forged documents in a South Delhi College of Delhi University.  This included the admission of one of their associate Mukesh Mann (aged 19 years) s/o Parkash Mann r/o Daulatabad, Gurgaon, Haryana. Mukesh Mann could not clear his 10+2 examination in 2013. However, Arvind Yadav procured forged mark sheets, caste certificates, transfer certificates, character certificates with help of Daya Ram and secured admission for Mukesh Mann in the South Delhi College of Delhi University.  Mukesh Mann is presently a second year student of that college.

In the year 2014, the racketeers have got admitted atleast 10 students on the basis of forged mark sheets, caste certificates, transfer certificates, character certificate and physical disability certificates in the prestigious South Delhi College of Delhi University.  Relevant documents of the students that are suspected to have secured admission on the basis of forged documents, have been obtained from the concerned college and are being scrutinized.

Daya Ram and Mukesh Mann have been arrested.  A laptop and printer have also been recovered.  The racketeers used to charge 3 to 5 Lacs from the prospective students for getting them admission in the prestigious South Delhi College of Delhi University.
