Electronica India and Productronica India opens at India Expo Mart, Semiconductor Conclave among key highlights
After 3 years, the Indian electronics manufacturing industry will get together and connect with the leading technology suppliers under one roof to fulfill their sourcing requirements. Over 320 companies with 3,000+ products and technologies are participating in the trade show to showcase their latest innovations and get a strong foot hold in the market. The marquee event provides an excellent opportunity and an ideal platform for manufacturing firms to optimize and expand their supply chains.
Commenting on the company’s commitment towards creating partnerships, Bhupinder Singh, CEO, Messe Muenchen India, says, “To leverage the multiplier effect of investments and infinite global opportunities in this sector, a robust supply chain must be created within the country. This is where trade fairs like electronica India and productronica India play a crucial role. By bringing together leading domestic and global electronics companies under one roof, our trade fairs help forge partnerships and unlock business opportunities among the various stakeholders in India’s burgeoning electronics supply chain. We wish more success and stronger partnerships for the entire ESDM fraternity that will gather at our shows.”
Dr. Martin Lechner, Executive Director, Messe München GmbH, adds, “India has emerged as a formidable player on the global manufacturing landscape, and electronica India and productronica India have become close partners to the Indian industry over the years. This edition will be more exciting as domestic manufacturing expands into more value-added technologies and solutions. The India Semiconductor Conclave will bring together inspiring ideas and we are confident that this conclave will continue to deliver value for India’s expanding semiconductor industry.”
India Semiconductor Conclave
With the objective of achieving self-reliance for domestic electronics manufacturing, India Semiconductor Conclave, a credible and focused platform aimed at enabling India’s semiconductor and display ecosystem was launched at electronica India and productronica India 2022.
The conclave deliberates on the relevant topics for the semiconductor and display industry through two conferences: Conference on Display Technology Trends by ICEA and Conference on Promoting India Semiconductor ecosystem by IESA.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) with their ‘Electronics India’ Pavilion and various state governments, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, have extended their support to the conclave.
About the conference on display manufacturing, Pankaj Mohindroo, Chairman, India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA), says, “India has witnessed phenomenal growth in smartphone manufacturing, and the time is right to focus on display manufacturing too. Demand for displays in India is likely to reach $20-25 billion by 2025 and we can capture greater value by creating the right supply chain ecosystem. Therefore, we are happy to present the conference on display manufacturing at electronica India and productronica India 2022. These trade shows are pivotal to bring all stakeholders and market players together.”
Supporting Program
The trade fairs will conduct a series of interactive sessions and the Buyer Seller Forum for their participants organized through their online matchmaking platform, MMI Match. The idea is to bridge the gap between buyers and sellers and give significant insights on the current trends dominating the industry.
Messe Muenchen India is also glad to continue its strategic partnership with ELCINA to organize the CEO Forum on the topic of “Shifting from Assembly to Deep Manufacturing – Building A USD 300 Billion ESDM Industry by 2026” and the India PCB Tech conference on “Roadmap for Developing PCB Eco-System in India- Vital for an Aatmanirbhar ESDM Sector”.
Emphasizing its partnerships with these trade shows over the years, Rajoo Goel, Secretary General, Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA), says, “It is great that electronica India and productronica India are back in full form with a bigger and better show this year. We are excited about the CEO Forum where we will be bringing some of the best speakers and companies to share their experiences of deep manufacturing for electronics manufacturing ecosystem. The India PCB Tech conference on the other hand addresses this vital component which is a key element for achieving self-reliance for the ESDM Sector. Both conferences address challenging areas, but we have successful cases of value-added manufacturing, and we are looking forward to sharing these ideas at electronica India and productronica India 2022.”
Co-located shows
To provide the latest innovation and technology under one roof and a lucrative experience for the exhibitors, buyers and visitors, electronica India, productronica India are co-located with MatDispens, IPCA Expo (Indian Printed Circuit Association Expo) and Smart Cards Expo.
“After 2yrs of break due to the pandemic, we are happy to be back with Electronica Productonica 2022. With the focus to boost domestic manufacturing we are hosting more than 350 companies from 19 countries to display their state of the art technologies, electronic components, and manufacturing facilities. Our vision is to make international advancements accessible to Indian industry with focus to promote ‘Make in India’ initiative. This year we are hosting ministry of Electronics and IT ministry showcasing the technological developments. States like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Chattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh are talking about the incentives they offer in their respective states for setting up new tech units. This year we have seen an increase in participation by 25% and we hope to maintain this growth path in the years to come”, added Tanmay Paul , Business Unit Head- New Technologies.
