Noida, 19th August, 2022: Noida authority and other stakeholders on Thursday finalised the evacuation plan and exclusion zone for the Supertech twin towers demolition set for 2:30pm on August 28.
Officials have stated that the whole Emerald Court and ATS Village housing societies, which accommodate approximately 7,000 people, must be evacuated along with their vehicles by 7 am on the demolition day.
According to officials, residents can only return to their housing societies after 4 pm on the same day. The Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will also be closed for 30 minutes from 2:15pm to 2:45pm on the day of the explosion.
The security officers can remain on the premises of these two societies until 12 pm on the demolition day to ensure safety, officials added.
“We established a system in which we asked apartment owners’ associations (AOAs) to appoint a manager for each tower and a floor representative for each level.”
“All floor representatives will guarantee that the flats are evacuated and will notify the tower manager, who will report to the AOA by 7 am
on the demolition day,” said Ishtiyaq Ahmed, General manager (planning) for the Noida authority.
Ahmed further stated that the authority has advised the AOAs that anyone who has extra cars that they are unable to bring with them can park them in the Botanical Garden’s multi-level parking, which can handle over 7,000 four-wheelers at one time.
“All vehicles must be evacuated from the two housing societies, and they may not be parked outside the gates because the entire area has been designated as an exclusion zone.” As a result, we’ve identified a location where they can leave their vehicles for the day,” Ahmed added.
The exclusion zone is the area where no human, animal, or vehicle is permitted during the blast. This comprises the entire road in front of the Emerald Court, the highway service road leading to Delhi, the road in front of ATS Village, and the road in front of Parsvanath Prestige.
In addition, fire trucks and ambulances will be stationed behind the park, facing the twin towers, in case of an emergency.
