Galgotias University Hosts Induction Program for PhD Scholars (Fall 2024-25 Batch)

Galgotias University successfully organized an Induction Program for its new PhD Scholars of the Fall 2024-25 Batch. The event aimed to provide scholars with an overview of the university’s academic and research landscape, fostering meaningful interactions between scholars, faculty, and prospective supervisors. It served as a platform to motivate scholars to embark on their research journey with a clear understanding of the expectations and resources available at the university.

The event was inaugurated by Suneel Galgotia, Chancellor of Galgotias University, who emphasized the significance of a PhD degree and extended his best wishes to the scholars for a fruitful research experience. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of the university, encouraged the scholars to bridge the gap between industry and academia through research and innovation, reminding them of the importance of completing their research within the stipulated time frame. Aradhana Galgotia, Director of Operations, congratulated the incoming scholars and emphasized the need for high-quality, plagiarism-free research, urging them to focus on formulating their research questions early in their academic journey.

In his address, Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. M. Babu inspired the scholars to engage in authentic, original research, describing the current era as the “golden age of data and information.” He urged the scholars to leverage technology in their research endeavors for better outcomes. Prof. (Dr.) Avadhesh Kumar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, highlighted the commitment and perseverance required to succeed in a PhD program, while elucidating the true essence of a PhD degree. Dr. Nitin Gaur, Registrar, familiarized the scholars with the university’s academic and administrative protocols and wished them a bright future.

The strategic initiatives taken by the Research Office to enhance the research productivity of scholars were shared by Prof. (Dr.) B. Rajanarayan Prusty, Dean (Research). The event was coordinated by Prof. Amrita Tyagi, University PhD Coordinator, who ensured a smooth and insightful induction for the scholars.
