Galgotias University organizes seminar on problems and prospects of senior citizens

Galgotias University organized a two-day seminar on the subject of aging with a comprehensive multidisciplinary perspective on the problems and prospects of senior citizens in India.

This two-day seminar, held from March 20 to 21, 2024, at the Center for Excellence of the School of Liberal Education – Peace Studies and Research, School of Liberal Education, under the supervision of Dean Dr. Anuradha Parashar.

The program was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. Mallikarjun Babu, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Avdhesh Kumar, Former Vice-Chancellor and Chancellor Advisor Dr. Renu Luther, Registrar Dr. Nitin Gaur, and Dr. Anuradha Parashar along with Saraswati Vandana.

The event took place at Galgotias University in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, under the auspices of the Indian Institute of Defense Studies and the Ministry of Law and Empowerment of the Government of India.

Dr. K. Mallikarjun Babu, Vice-Chancellor of Galgotias University, said that we assure you all that this two-day seminar will function as a special platform for the exchange of ideas, best practices, and experiences, which will definitely have a positive impact on the lives of senior citizens in India.

Chancellor Sunil Galgotia of Galgotias University said that the nation which respects its elders in families, societies, and nations, always progresses towards development. Today, on this occasion, I especially want to tell the youth of the country and students that they should always continue to move forward in their lives by embracing their great culture.

CEO Dr. Dhruv Galgotia of Galgotias University said that we should always respect our elders. A person who respects his elders always remains attentive to them. One who always remains humble towards his elders, the path of progress always opens up in his life and his age, knowledge, fame, and strength, these four things keep growing throughout his life. Therefore, we should always remain eager to serve our elders throughout our lives.

Former Vice-Chancellor and Chancellor Advisor Dr. Renu Luthra said that without our elders, our lives are incomplete. Whenever a major crisis comes to the family or home, we first go to our elders to seek advice from the invaluable experiences of their lives, and we find a sure solution to our problem. This is their blessing upon us.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Avdhesh Kumar, addressing the students, said that no matter how much success you achieve in your life, no matter how big a person you become, but never forget your parents and teachers who are the reason for your success today and just this is my message to you today.
