Grand tree plantation program organized at Galgotias University for the protection of environment
Under the aegis of the Department of Agriculture, School of Law, School of Liberal Education NCC and NSS departments at Galgotias University, students and faculties together organized a grand tree plantation drive for the protection of the environment.
At the beginning of the program, Dean of School of Agriculture, Dr. Sahdev Singh spoke about the importance of environmental awareness program and emphasized on adopting sustainable agriculture, afforestation and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to meet the Sustainable Development Goals. Prof. Dr. H.S. Gaur at the school of Agriculture reminded the teachings of our ancestors on the importance of elements of nature and sustainability of the environment.
Dr. Anuradha Parashar, Dean at School of Liberal Education said that such campaigns not only benefit the environment but also strengthen the community spirit. “Vriksharopan Abhiyan” is a positive initiative which will definitely play an important role in making our environment and society green and healthy.
Dean of School of Law Dr. Naresh Vats, said in his statement that we need to plant as many trees as possible so that we can make our earth green. And can provide a safe life to generations ahead.
Shri Sunil Galgotia, Chancellor at Galgotias University while emphasizing on the conservation of environment for the sustainability of life on this planet “Earth”, said that everyone should plant a tree in the name of their country and that trees are the ornaments of the earth.
Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO, said that while developing new technologies, we should keep in mind that technology should not be harmful to the environment.
He encouraged the students to be aware about the conservation of environment. He stressed that our lifestyle and technology development should happen in harmony.
