Greater Noida: Independence Day celebrations held in Gautam Buddh Nagar

Independence Day was celebrated across Gautam Buddh Nagar with much enthusiasm. Patriotic programmes were presented in government offices, cultural institutions, housing societies, schools, colleges and non-government organisations.

District Magistrate BN Singh unfurled the National Flag and paid homage to martyrs of freedom struggle at the collectorate in Surajpur.

“Today, we are able to celebrate Independence Day because of the martyrs. We achieved this independence with great difficulty, after decades of struggle against the British Empire. Therefore, we have to take a pledge to keep our independence intact,” said Singh

SSP Vaibhav Krishna unfurled the flag at Surajpur police line and took the guard of honour. Apart from this awarded ‘appreciation medals to police officers and personnel . Also DGP commendation disc for outstanding works were also presented.

At Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority CEO Arun Veer Singh hoisted the flag in the presence all authority officials.
