#GST : Boon or a Bane ?
When GST was introduced, a total of 1,211 items were brought under the ambit of GST, 228 items were in the 28% tax slab. Today, only 27 items come under the 28% tax slab.
Under UPA govt, these 1,211 items were taxed at 31% or more via vat excise cess octroi etc and partial input.
