Nepalese rape suspect held in #Delhi

GURGAON: Following a 19-hour-long pursuit, police arrested the Nepalese cook accused of raping a girl from Assam in a city guesthouse from Delhi`s Aya Nagar on Sunday morning. The accused, Dev Bahadur (27), is from a town called Tiram in Nepal. Dev had been absconding after he had allegedly raped the 19-year-old girl on April 29. When police could not find his records from the guesthouse, which had recently seen a transfer of ownership, they contacted a Mohan on Saturday afternoon, who had purportedly recommended Dev for the cook`s job at the DLF Phase I guesthouse. Mohan hails from a village close to Bahadur`s hometown in Nepal. He gave police leads to Dev`s brothers — Madan and Padam — who work in Delhi.
