With exactly one month remaining for India’s Independence Day, the brainstorming over main celebration at Red Fort are reaching it’s conclusion.
As per media reports, this year Independence Day celebration at the Red Fort will not witness presence of any school children, who have always been an integral part of the celebration. Keeping the Covid-19 scare in mind, it has been decided that instead NCC cadets will occupy the space in front of Red Fort, which is usually reserved for a large group of school children.
Moreover, the number of VVIPs for the celebration has been curtailed drastically and only about 100 dignitaries may mark their attendance at the occasion.
Also, the government is planning to extend invitation to around 1500 corona warriors to become part of the celebration, in order to honor their contribution during these last few months of the pandemic.
All the seating arrangement at the venue is being done by keeping social distancing norms in mind.
This year, India will celebrate it’s 74th Independence Day and the celebrations are expected to remain very limited given the present situation.
