IFJAS 2022 concludes with Business Enquiries worth Rs. 270 crores

Greater Noida – 22nd JUNE 2022 – The 16th edition of the Indian Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Show draws to a close after three eventful field days. Around 680 trade visitors comprising overseas buyers from 54 countries, their representatives and Domestic Volume Buyers visited the show to source their requirement.  The fair generated business enquiries to the tune of around Rs. 270 crores during the fair. The buyers visited from Argentina, Austria, Australia, France, Egypt, Denmark, Croatia, Colombia, Chile, Hungary, Iceland, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, The Netherlands, Greece, Mexico, Italy, Russia, Japan, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Singapore, South Africa, UAE, Israel, Turkey, Canada, Brazil, USA, UK, and many more.

On display was a well spread product range with fashion jewellery; semi-precious jewellery; belts & wallets; hand bags & purses; fashion accessories; head & hair accessories; stoles & scarves; shawls; embroidered, beaded & sequined accessories; fancy footwear; artisanal apparel; protective wear; and components. 150+ exhibitors with products in five display categories, regional artisans and entrepreneurs showcased their new lines at IFJAS and are set to return with orders, enquiries and post-fair follow-ups.

“Buyers were happy to visit the show and meet their regular as well as new suppliers, experience the Delhi NCR region after a long time and we at EPCH and the India Expo Centre couldn’t be more delighted in welcoming them. They look forward to attend our upcoming shows too,” said Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General, EPCH.

A buyer from Greece, Efi Panagiotou whose company has been importing from India since 35 years said, “I am here for bags, cotton and silk scarves, fashion accessories, kaftans and dresses. India has many ideas for designs and prints. I always find new items and fresh ideas. Manufacturers have worked on design and products in these two years and I got to see plenty of it. Glad to be here and will visit again.

Jan Sumsion, a buyer from Australia said, “I am here for fashion, garments, accessories and jewellery. This is my first time and my experience has been good.  We import from Italy and China and now we are turning towards India just to open up to new options. Jewellery from Indian manufacturers are attractive and innovative.”

Among other activities, the Trend Pavilion and Ramp presentations with products from several participants at the show gathered attention and appreciation. Awards for best stand display & product presentation were given away in a well-attended ceremony at the fair venue. The International Yoga Day was observed with eagerness and promoted Yoga as a holistic approach to health and well-being. The show was graced by guests from various Ministries from the Government of India during the 3 days added Mr. Hitesh Ahuja, Vice President – Reception Committee, IFJAS 2022.

IFJAS is a one of a kind trade show that attracts buyers for head-to-toe fashion sourcing; fashion jewellery as well as accessories to apparel. This edition also focused on sustainability, young entrepreneurs, women led export establishments and EPCH’s integrated design development program outcomes, said Mr. R K Verma, Executive Director, EPCH.

The exports of Indian Fashion Jewellery & Accessories during the year 2021-22 was Rs. 1908.51 Crores (US $ 255.97 Million) registering a growth of 24.20% over previous year informed by Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General, EPCH.
