Karan Johar lauds Kartik Aaryan at Film Festival, ends rumours of fallout

Melbourne(Australia), 11/08/23: Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar are currently in Melbourne attending the Indian Film Festival 2023. In a new video from the festival that has now gone viral, Karan Johar is seen giving a speech in which he hails Kartik Aaryan for his works, including Satyaprem Ki Katha, and wishes ‘more power to him.’

There were allegations of a rift between the two earlier in 2021, after Kartik opted out of Dostana 2, which have now been quashed.

Karan Johar was heard speaking about Kartik Aaryan, who was present at the panel, in a new video published on Instagram by a paparazzo account.
Karan began by joking about being married by the end of the festival, referring to a fan who proposed to Kartik after the festival, screening of his film Satyaprem Ki Katha.

Karan went on to say, “Kartik’s films have deeply resonated with the country and has always brought in so much fervour back to the cinema halls. More power to him. May his contribution to cinema always continue. Well done, Kartik.”

Kartik was most recently seen in Satyaprem Ki Katha, in which he co-starred with Kiara Advani. The picture was a box office success when it was released on June 29. He’s currently working on Kabir Khan’s Chandu Champion.

Meanwhile, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, Karan Johar’s latest film as a filmmaker, was released on July 28. The family drama, which starred Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra in an ensemble cast, won critical praise as well as high box office numbers.
