In an endeavor to join a global movement to change the world for people living with cerebral palsy, the special students of Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan (MBCN) School celebrated World Cerebral Palsy day with enthusiasm and jubilation. The event witnessed parents and teachers engaged in experience sharing sessions, while the students were enthralled in the fun activities.

Dr. Vandana Sharma, Director, Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan School said “It was indeed a fun-filled afternoon for the kids; the activities gave them unstructured play time with their peers. These unstructured moments are just as therapeutic as structured therapies. We hope that the experience sharing session helped the parents to understand that while Cerebral Palsy cannot be cured, there are mechanisms available today such as braces, orthotic devices, wheelchairs, rolling walkers and communication aids such as computers to make their living normal.”

MBCN works to promote independence in the students and aims to provide the rehabilitation &personal development programs to support the students in every area of their lives, maximizing their integration in the main stream.
