‘Mera Sahib Mujh mein’- Annual Production at DPS, Greater Noida

Greater Noida : DPS Greater Noida commemorated the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi through its spectacular Annual Production ‘Mera Sahib Mujhmein’ , presented on 16 & 19 November, 2019. Nearly 500 talented students of the Senior wing of the school took part in the home production that relived before the modern day audience, the teachings and ideologies of the great 15th century saint & poet Kabir Das, an apostle of peace and religious harmony, who propagated the oneness of God and service to mankind,the very principles, the Father of our nation envisioned to uphold centuries later.
The programmes were graced by a galaxy of eminent guests including the Chief Guests Shri. V.K. Shunglu , Chairman, DPS Society and Dr. Mahesh Sharma, MP, District Gautam Budh Nagar and former Minister of State for Tourism and Culture & Civil Aviation, Prof. B.P.Khandelwal, Chairman, DPS Greater Noida, Mr. Anil. K. Upadhyay and Ms.Vrinda Sarup, former IAS officers, among others.
In her welcome address, the Principal, Ms. Renu Chaturvedi said that both Gandhiji and Sant Kabir believed in the ideals of truth and brotherhood that transcend time, period and national boundaries. She urged the young audience to follow the footsteps of these great men to establish unity and equality in the society.
At the onset of the programme, the seasoned western choir of the school paid a humble homage to Mahatma Gandhi through an inspiring song, ‘Follow the Mahatma’ that was followed by the much appreciated play on Sant Kabir, ‘Mera Sahib Mujhmein’. The function drew to a close with the vote of thanks, proposed by the Headmistress, Ms. Manju Verma.
