Noida Authority to rope in third agency on green buildings

With a large number of developers showing interest in constructing green buildings in Noida, the Noida Authority has decided to rope in another agency for evaluating and approving design systems of upcoming green building projects in the city.

The authority at present allows only those builders who have received the certification from Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) to construct green buildings. The third agency that will be roped in is the Indian Green Building Council.
