After a number of delays, the 23-storey multi-level parking facility project at the Botanical Garden Metro station with a capacity for 8,000 cars is finally off the ground. The project is expected to be completed in three years after construction begins.

According to officials, construction of the parking facility is expected to start in July after the technical and financial bids are finalized on June 15. The 70-metre-high building will be spread across 19,500 sq metres and will have 13 floors dedicated to commercial use. The remaining area will be used for parking vehicles. “Clearances from IIT-Delhi have already been received for the facility, which will be semi-automatic and built across 10 floors including two basements,” said S C Mishra, project engineer.
