Noida, (27/2/2019): A woman had registered a complaint against her husband and three others for allegedly trying to kill her and torturing her for past one year.
Payal Yadav, resident of Aligarh in her police complaint said that “she met Pramod, an auto driver in 2017 when she was working at a garment company. We fell in love and decided to get married. I used to live with my paternal uncle and his family as my parents had died. As they objected to my relationship with him, we had a court marriage”.
“Within two months of marriage i got to know that Promod is already married and had four daughters from his first wife Guddi. When i was three months pregnant in October, Pramod stabbed me in the stomach and i suffered a miscarriage. My in laws admitted me to Charra hospital in Aligarh. Pramod shifted to Noida while i stayed in Aligarh with his parents. After few days he started threatening me and asked me to shift to Noida”, Payal said.
After moving to Noida, Pramod took her to a rented accommodation where his first wife is also residing. Pramod along with his cousins Munish, Umesh and first wife Guddi started harassing her and demanded 50,000 cash and a bike.
The four accused allegedly tried to kill her by pushing her out of a moving auto in February. She suffered injuries and admitted to hospital in Noida extension. On February 18, Payal approached her employer and shared her ordeal.
Munna Lal Agrawal, employer of Payal told “that he helped her meet the SSP and file a complaint”.
“SSP was unable to meet so we met an officer on duty at the SSP office who shifted the matter to women’s police station”, he added.
Rashmi Chaudhary, SHO, women’s police station said “if the complaint has been forwarded to the police station, we will shortly receive it and will take appropriate action”.
