NUKKAD NATAK BY GALGOTIAS DRAMATICS CLUB

The Actor’s Hub, Galgotias University Dramatics Society has created a buzz lately in the college dramatics circuit with their consecutive exceptional performances in different events and competitions. Connecting various social issues with their emotions and blending it with their astonishing expressions to create a perfect recipe of entertainment for their audience has set them apart from others. As they say charity begins at home, The Actor’s Hub took an initiative to win hearts within the university and moreover spread awareness widely on “Drug Addiction” with their talent.
The street play had various stages which highlighted the path taken by addicts towards the ghastly world of drugs and its consequences. The street play along with a beautiful script was topped with songs and humorous lines which added to the taste and maintained the much needed perfect tempo of the play. The Nukkad Natak was divided into three main scenes, each highlighting a different situation in case of drug addiction. The first situation throws light on how a student gets addicted to drugs under his peer pressure which in return drastically effects his academic performance in negative way. The second part shows how one ends up getting addicted to drugs due to a failed relationship whereas third situation takes the drama a notch higher where a drug addict loses his fellow drug addict and friend to death.
The Actor’s Hub surely brought an impact and left by engraving thoughtful message in their audience’s heart. They also appealed to their audience to stay mentally and emotionally strong and also consult counsellors in difficult times. Galgotias University conducts motivational workshops and counselling sessions by renowned world class counsellors from time to time. A counsellor is also available for students in campus on working days whereas Vinnie Khanna Mathur,Dean, Student Affairs, Galgotias Educational institutions herself is available to students via email where she counsels and motivates them and help them to sail smoothly in sea of difficult times.
