PM Modi launches ‘Swachhta Hi Seva Mission’, A Movement for Cleaner India!

To accelerate the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage and to put focus on sanitation, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Initiated ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ Movement that aims to ensure a high standard of cleanliness across the country, before Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary on October 2, 2019.

During this campaign PM interacted with individuals, communities and organization via video conferencing at 17 different places in the country. For this interaction among 17 different places Brahma Kumari’s Shantivan campus at ABU road was also selected. PM interacted with the members of the organization and explained its importance to them and asked them for their contribution. Rajyogini Dadi Janki Ji Chief of Brahma Kumari’s is also the brand ambassador of Swachh Bharath Mission.

While Initiating this campaign Narendra Modi swept & cleaned the premises of Baba Sahib Ambedkar Higher Secondary School in Delhi’s Paharganj and also interacted with students there. Modi’s cavalcade en-route to Swachhata Shramdan got stuck in a traffic jam as no security route or barriers were in place to allow for smooth traffic.

On the Occasion Ratan Tata said, “The Tata Trust is actively supporting the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ & our support will continue in the years to come especially in bringing more technology”
