Principal Greater Valley School, Mrs. Poonam Chaubey was given the citation of honour for Meritorious Leadership in the award category Principal Leadership for Outstanding Endeavours on 31st October, 2015, National Science Centre, New Delhi. The Life Empowerment Awards for School 2014-2015 (Promotion of Recognition of co-scholastic development) is an initiative by Expressions India (CBSE empanelled) – The National Life Skills, Values Education & Social Wellness Program. The award was given to ma’am by Mr. Rajat Sharma,the chairman and editor-in-chief of India TV and Mr. Vineet Joshi chairman and secretary of the Central Board of Secondary Education.These awards are being given to schools and individuals who are working towards the development of students well being, above and beyond the framework of academics. The award was given keeping in mind the Principal’s Leadership in Promoting Life Skills, Attitude and Values amongst teachers and students. It also focused on the individuals’ skills in working towards the Excellence in School, Family And Community Partnership, counseling services and promotion of Inclusive Education in the school. It also emphasized on Mrs Chaubey’s contribution towards promotion of Indian Art & Culture amongst the young students. She was also appreciated for her work in instilling the goodness of health and physical wellbeing in the school.
