Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Director Vikramjit and Bhushan Kumar were seen Delhi to promote their upcoming film Roy!
Arjun Rampal, Ranbir Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Director Vikramjit and Bhushan Kumar came to hotel Dusit Devarana, Samalka, for a Press Conference on 9th February, 2015 to promote their movie Roy.
On being asked about the importance of songs in the movie, as the songs of the movie have done seemingly well, Vikramjit said, “I don’t make movies that revolve around music necessarily, but this script of mine demanded music. This was my first movie and I was very attached to the way I wanted to make it.”
Ranbir Kapoor added by saying, “It was quite a proud moment when he (Vikram) made his dream come true.”
While talking about the songs and music of the film when Bhushan Kumar was asked about the songs in the movie, he replied by saying, “It was fun making the music of Roy. For one song, ‘Chittiyan Kallaiyan’ which everybody liked, there were certain reservations, but I convinced Vikram and said that Jacqueline and this song will be a blockbuster. “
When the look of the characters was being talked about, Arjun Rampal was asked regarding him being in an all together different look and how his look was devised, to which he said, “This look actually came in from the fact that I like to ride a lot, I wear a hat while riding and Vikram liked that, so, he incorporated that into the character.”
When Jacqueline Fernandez was asked to put her views forward on how few female directors actually exist in the Hindi film industry and her role of a director in the movie, she said, “It’s actually weird to think about it now because I actually never felt it. When I went into the shoes of playing a female director, it never came into my mind that I’m a ‘female’ director. It was I guess the most normal thing for me. But, I think things have changed and I hope that we will have more female directors in the industry.”
Towards the end of the Press Conference the release date of the movie was being talked about as the movie is scheduled to release a day before Valentine’s Day i.e. 13th February, 2015.
