Rotary Club of Green Greater Noida Blood Donation Camp at Dronacharya Group of Institutions

Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida is organizing a Blood Donation Camp on 7th-Sep-2016in association with Rotary Club of Green Greater Noida. To create an awareness amongst students,   a Motivational Talk  on Thalassemia and Blood Donationwas conducted by Dr. Tejinder Singh, District Chair – Thalassemia (District – 3011) on 6^th September 2016. Dr. Singh said that THALASEMIA MAJOR is a deadly genetic blood disorder causing severe anemia. One out of 25 in our population is a Thalassemia carrier.Ten thousand babies are born every year in India with Thalassemia Major. This alarming figure will accelerate if awareness campaigns are not addressed on a war footing by one and all.Several Rotarians including Rtn. Deepak Gupta, Rtn. Saurabh Bansal, Rtn. Kuldeep Garg, Rtn. Kapil Gupta, Rtn.Rakesh Singhal, Rtn.Mukul Singhal graced the occasion.
