Surajpur Police resolves Uber driver murder case, 3 accuseds arrested with vehicle

(18/07/2017) Greater Noida : A case which initially was registered as and seemed like vehicle theft by an Uber driver took an ugly turn when it was suspected that driver has become completely untraceable. Perusing some blind leads and using meticulous suspicion theory, Surajpur police of Greater Noida finally unfolded a shocking case in which three drivers conspired to kill another one for the sole reason of selling the vehicle he drove.

Friendly murder

The victim Moolchand used to drive uber which belonged to Sakir Khan of Bulandshahar district. He came in contact with the other three accused who were also driver by profession.

The three accused took the victim in confidence and consumed alcohol before executing his murder on one fateful night. The two accused in this case are also private bus drivers. On 7th July they accompanied the victim named Moolchand in his Wagon R vehicle to a Power station in Hapur. After parking the vehicle at a secluded place, they strangled the victim with a clutch wire. Moolchand being in inebriated state couldn’t do much for self-defence.

How Police got the clue:

Convicts thereafter drove too Uttarakhand with plan of decomposing the body. From throwing it in a river to keeping it on a railway track, many options were considered. However such attempt they made was thwarted by some or the other interruption.

Finally they got rid-off body near Dasna Flyover, where the body was later recovered by Ghaziabad Police. After it being identified as driver Moolchand, police got rid-off initial vehicle theft theory and started pursuing the murder lead. A special team of Surajpur Police got a lead from informant in this regard and arrested all three accused’s from Dadri bypass. Stolen WagonR vehicle, Samsung J2 mobile phone belonging to the murdered driver and the clutch wire used for murder were also recovered by the police.

A case has been registered under IPC 364, 302, 201, 394 and 34 in Surajpur police station of Gautam Buddha Nagar district.
