This International Women’s Day, YEIDA to lay the foundation stone for 2 pink toilets and a women police station

Gr Noida: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority is continuously working on plans to enhance basic amenities in its region. In this regard, “Pink Toilets” will be constructed in the Sector-18 and Sector-29 of the city, as well as a Women’s Police Station, will also be constructed here. 4,000 square meters of land has been identified and reserved for the same.

YEIDA region is now becoming the first choice of investors because of the few upcoming mega projects including Noida International Airport and Film city. Economic activities have started to rise in this region and therefore the authority has levelled up the development of necessary facilities in the area.

Authority CEO Dr Arun Veer Singh said, “On March 8, the foundation stone for two pink toilets will be laid, one will be built in Sector-18 while the other in Sector-29. There is an apparel park in Sector-29 where a large number of women are working. So keeping women’s comfort and safety in mind, the authority has planned for a pink toilet. It will cost around 18 lakhs rupees to build a pink toilet.”

Further, he added “At the same time, a woman police station is being set up in the authority area, for this, 4,000 square meters of land has been identified. Its proposal will soon be sent to the government and police administration so that construction of the Women’s Police Station can begin. Soon the final decision will come from the administration side on the project and then we will proceed further.”
