UP Dy CM Brajesh Pathak hails GIMS on its foundation day, assures support for its building project

Greater Noida, 15th Feb: Government Institute of Medical sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida celebrated its 8th Foundation Day on Wednesday.
GIMS is an autonomous medical teaching institute established by state govt. of Uttar Pradesh on 15th Feb, 2016 on the lines of SGPGI. Institute has completed the Successful 7 years since its Inception.
The Chief Guest for the Foundation Day programme was Brajesh Pathak, Dy Chief Minister of UP, and the Guest of honor were Dr Sarojani Agarwal, MLC UP, Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, AVSM, General Officer Commanding Delhi Area, and Alok Kumar IAS, Principal Secretary, Medical Education.
Dy CM inaugurated the BSL 3 laboratory, where all the viral, bacterial and fungal related diagnostic and Research work will be carried out.
The program was commenced with the presentation of GIMS at glance followed by Saraswati Vandana and Lamp Lighting. Brig Rakesh Gupta, Director GIMS welcomed the guests and presented the status and Vision of GIMS.
In his address, Brajesh Pathak appreciated the efforts of GIMS in the field of Patient care, teaching and Research. He also voiced the need to upgrade the medical facilities in Western UP at par with private hospitals, so as to benefit common people. He also showed concern for GIMS building project, and assured all the help and assistance from the State Government.
Dy CM also conferred awards on faculties: The Best Patient care award went to Dr Satender Kumar, HOD Surgery, Best Academics to Dr Ranjana Verma, Best Research work to Dr Anurag Srivastava. Dr Rambha Pathak, Dean was awarded for the best academics among Colleges of UP and Dr Saurabh Srivastava for the providing the best patient care services as Physician and CMS.
GIMS hospital has been empaneled for providing cashless service to Army Veteran. It is the first Govt hospital empaneled for cashless services. The MOA was signed today between the GIMS and ECHS in presence of Dy CM, GOC Delhi Area and MD ECHS Maj Gen NR Indurkar SM, VSM.
The event was attended by MLA of Jewar, Dhirender Singh, MLA Dadri Tejpal Nagar, and other well-known personalities of Noida and Greater Noida. More than 100 Distinguished Dignitaries and Guest are invited to attend this program.
