Vodafone-SaveLIFE Foundation launches Road Safe mobile application

To mark the International Safety Day on April 28, Vodafone and SaveLIFE Foundation launched Road Safe mobile application and it has been developed, under the Safety in Mobility initiative to help improve Road Safety in India.

Talking about the application, Abhay Damle, Joint Secretary, MoRTH, said that, this application help drivers to remain focused on driving, thus feature will automatically disable calls/SMS/Push notifications when vehicle speed is above 10 km/hour.
He further said that, using the phone’s accelerometre, this feature tries to detect sudden drop in vehicle speed, and provides automatic voice enabled emergency response assistance.
