Why traffic moves slowly in Noida

In times when the world is shrinking by the day due to improved and faster connectivity, Noida has managed quite the opposite. Poor traffic management has ended up increasing its distance with Delhi despite the DND Flyway .

At the heart of this problem are traffic signals -plenty of them and each working independently of the other. As a result, finding a green channel while driving on Noida’s roads is rare. Encroachments and lack of traffic discipline aggravate this problem. Rush hours are the worst. A drive to Delhi that should take no more than 15 minutes now easily breaches the hour mark. Driving back home is no better -after a cruise across the DND, it’s a stopstart struggle.
