NOIDA, (12/2/2019): In the accident of Metro Hospital in Noida which saw a massive fire on 7th of February. District Magistrate, BN Singh ordered a magisterial inquiry on an immediate basis.

But the authorities seems to be busy in some other work because the inquiry committee started its work from today onwards, after 5 days of the incident.

Today, City Magistrate along with Fire Safety Officer (FSO) started their investigation process in the hospital.
This report has to submitted by 15 February to the District Magistrate.

This late reaction from the authorities clearly shows the level of responsibility they have towards the safety of the public.

However, on the other hand the Metro Hospital lacks the basic fire safety tools from last 8 months. This is pointed out by the Fire Department itself when it had carried out an inspection after the hospital applied for a ‘no-objection certificate’.

Neither the fire department issued the NOC, nor the hospital management got the required equipments installed in the past eight months.
