New Delhi, 14th July 2023: The Delhi Metro had a quirky way to wishe India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission all the best.

Taking to Twitter the DMRC wrote, “Our best wishes for the success of this new mission @ISRO.”

Along with the tweet DMRC posted a picture of the Moon with text that read, “ Next Station is”.

With the countdown to ISRO’s highly anticipated launch of the year, the Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission, all eyes are on India’s space agency as its experts work tirelessly to achieve a flawless soft landing on the lunar surface.

This accomplishment would place India among a select group of countries that have completed this difficult feat.

The forthcoming mission, part of India’s ambitious lunar exploration programme, would be carried out by the ‘Fat Boy’ LVM3-M4 rocket. According to AP, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has scheduled the long-awaited launch from the spaceport for Friday at 2:35 p.m.

The soft landing on the moon’s surface is scheduled for late August, marking an important milestone in India’s lunar exploration endeavours.

Former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan stated on Thursday, ahead of India’s ambitious space programme Chandrayaan-3, that a successful landing would make India only the fourth nation to do so, and that it would improve the country’s potential for space research growth.

The Chandrayaan-2 mission failed to make the intended soft landing on the moon’s surface in 2019, leaving the ISRO team dismayed. Many people remember the sad images of then-ISRO chairman K Sivan being comforted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was present to witness the uncommon feat.

Scientists at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre have persevered and spent many hours of hard work to master the technology of soft landing on the moon’s surface, unfazed by the setback. A successful landing would make India the fourth country in history to accomplish this extraordinary achievement, joining the United States, China, and the erstwhile Soviet Union.
