Divisional Science and Technology Exhibition concludes at GL Bajaj. Here’s the list of winners
31st March 2022: To create awareness about science among students, a three-day divisional level science and technology exhibition was organized from March 29 to 31 at G. L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management College, under the aegis of Regional Science and Technology Department, Greater Noida. In this exhibition, various competitions were organized. The competition was organized in two categories Senior (Class 9-12) and Junior (Class 6-8). In this, students from all the districts coming under Meerut division participated.
The program was inaugurated on March 29 by Dr. Rajeev Agrawal, Director of the College and Dr. P.C. Vashistha, Head of the IT Department. On this occasion program coordinator Dr. Vivek Sudarshan inspired the children through his words and science poetry. In the first day, science model competition of senior class, presentation of research papers related to solution of water problems, measures to prevent and preserve food wastage at home, demonstration and interpretation of science experiments, essay, quiz, etc. was done.
Use of Waste (Army Public School) won first prize under Senior Science Model Competition
Smart Stick (Indrapuram Public School) got second prize and Smart Handwash (Indrapuram Public School) got third prize.
Aryan Chauhan (Army Public School) got first prize in senior essay writing competition, Rashmi Rajput (Maheshree Dayanand Vidyapati Govindpuram) got second prize and Aadesh Kumar (Mary Convent School) and Rishab Singh (Panchsheel Balak Inter College) got third prize. In the same senior quiz competition, Saksham Rawat (Army Public School) got the first prize, Harshit Shahi (Indrapuram Public School) got the second prize and Arunendra Chhonkar (Army Public School) got the third prize.
Similar competitions for junior category (class 6-8) were organized on the second working day. Knowledge of science was shared among the children by setting up stalls for scientific explanation of food, adulteration in food items and vermi composting.
Under Junior Science Model Competition, Electronic Roads Project UPS, Dairy Macha, Dadri got first prize while Fire Alarm Project (Savitri Bai Phule Balika Inter College) and Automatic Street Light (Panchsheel Balak Inter College) got second prize. The third prize was received by Automatic Hand Sanitizer (Panchsheel Balak Inter College) and Chor Door Bell (KN Modi).
Junior Science Experiments Miracle / Curious Science Experiment and Interpretation Competition Winner of Magnet’s Application Project (Upper Primary School, Meerut) with first prize (UPS, Dairy Macha, Dadri’s ProjectMagic Box got second prize, third prize A part of Bhrammand (UPS, Dairy Macha, Dadri) was given to the project.
Science drama and science poetry were organized on the third and last day and the concluding session of the program was organized from 1 o’clock in which prizes were distributed to the winning participants by Dr. Sureshchand Sharma Regional Scientific Officer, Ghaziabad. In the program, Archana Shiromani District Coordinator Gautam Buddha Nagar, Dr. Neha Tyagi, Professor GL Bajaj, etc. made their invaluable contribution in organizing the entire program smoothly.
