Fourth Russian Film Days in India begins with world premiere of ‘Last Trial’ in National Capital!
New Delhi: The fourth edition of Russian Film Days, an initiative to strengthen the lndo-Russian relationship, kick started in in Delhi. Russian Film Days India will be Covering Delhi Pune Mumbai this year.
The film festival on Friday opened at Russian Center of Culture and Science in New Delhi with a world premiere of ‘Last Trial’. The Alexey Petrukhin directorial, which dwells on acute social issues, was presented by actresses Anna Churina and Alisa Grebenschikova.
Cinema lovers in India will have a chance to watch some iconic Russian films which were released this year and have already gained wide popularity. Among them there is the leader of Russian box office drama on sport ‘Ice’, cosmic drama ‘Spacewalkers’, the first part of a cinema series ‘Gogol’. The beginning’, comedy ‘Well, hello there, Oksana Sokolova’, fairytale ‘The Last Warrior’ and animation ‘Sheep and Wolves.’
The films will be presented by guests from the Russian fIIm fraternity including Anna Churina, Valentina Mazunina, Artem Tkachenko, Alisa Grebenschikova, Victor Khorinyak.
Speaking to Ten News Russian Actress, Anna Churina said,
“Russian Film Days” in India are instrumental in improving contacts with the creative and economic elite as well as strengthening bonds in the cinema industry, instigating cultural exchange and shaping the image of Russia as a partner of India. Past experience makes its success this year obvious.”
