Galgotias University Shines at UPITS 2024, Secures Multiple Awards for Innovative Projects

Greater Noida, 30th Sept: In an impressive showing at the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2024, Galgotias University has celebrated the selection of its top teams after an extensive evaluation process. Thirteen teams were shortlisted out of thirty, with three teams receiving awards for their exceptional projects. These teams, mentored by a group of distinguished faculty members, including Prof. (Dr.) Meenakshi Sharma, Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Singh, Prof. (Dr.) Shraddha Sagar, Mr. Kamal Nath Kishore, and Mr. Raj Bhati, displayed remarkable innovation, dedication, and problem-solving skills in areas ranging from women’s safety to sustainability and health issues.

On the second day of the event, Galgotias University secured third place under the theme “Cyber Security and Women Security” for their project titled “Women Safety Analytics.” This project focused on leveraging data-driven approaches to enhance women’s security.

Day three proved even more successful for the university as all three positions in the “Environment & Sustainability” category were claimed by Galgotias University teams. The winning projects included “VAAYU,” a technological solution designed to capture air quality index (AQI) values via mobile devices or stations, and “Essential Oils at Home,” an eco-friendly initiative promoting sustainable practices.

On the fourth day, Galgotias University earned second place in the “Health Related Social Issues” category for their project titled “AI Interface for Deaf and Dumb People,” which aimed to bridge communication gaps for individuals with hearing and speech impairments through artificial intelligence.

Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, expressed his pride in the students’ accomplishments, highlighting the university’s commitment to fostering innovation and addressing real-world challenges.
