I.T.S Dental College, Greater Noida organized Lecture & Hands-on Workshop and CDE program in collaboration with MANI Inc.,Japan on & quot;Rotary Endodontics  The event was inaugurated by invocation to Goddess Saraswati and lamp lighting done by Dr.PuneetAhuja(Principal), Dr Anmol S Kalha (Director, PG Studies) & Dr Mona Kakkar(Guest Speaker) Dr Mona Kakar is a very senior and renowned Endodontist and Esthetic dentist from Mumbai. She is the President of Indian Academy of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry .Certified Member and Country Chairperson,India-European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry. She has delieverd various lectures and conducted workshops across the nation and internationally. Dr Anmol S Kalha (Director PG studies) addressed the august gathering and told that dentistry has a bright future for the future generations. He stressed that advancement and keeping oneself abreast with the latest knowledge is the key tosuccess in the field of dentistry.Dr.Puneet Ahuja extended a warm welcome to all the guests and delegates and appreciated the efforts of the organising team for conducting this kind of workshop. He told the students that rotary endodontics is the future of dentistry and with the use of this technology dental patients can get the treatment done in less time and with better precision.Dr Rohit Kochar, Prof & Head, Dept of Endodontics told that due to the flexibility and unique movement of the nickel-titanium rotary instruments, these can be inserted deeply into a curved root canal without stretching or damaging the passageway. This makes for a quick and reliable procedure. He told that using rotary endodontics makes the treatment less traumatic and gives better results.Dr Mona Kakar gave the lecture on basics of rotary endodontics and its application on patients. She stressed upon the fact that rotary endodontic treatment modality can reduce the treatment time. She showed various case reports which demonstrated How good results can be achieved in less duration of time. She also conducted the Handson workshop for the faculty members, PG students and Interns demonstrating the use of rotary instruments on patients and models.Positive feedback was received by the participants and other faculty members about the workshop. The one day event provided simple solutions to complex root canal treatments while being aligned with recent updates in the field which helped the participants in developing an edge over the others in clinical competency.
