NATIONAL FLAGE FUNCTION AT G.L BAJAJA CAMPUS BY DR. MAHESH SHARMA, HONORABLE MINISTER OF STATE.

A 100-feet-high tricolour was unfurled at G.L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Honorable Minister of State (Ministry of Tourism and Culture), who was the chief guest of the event. The huge flag was hoisted,making a place as the tallest and the biggest national flag in Greater Noida region in the middle of campus in the presence of huge gathering of around four thousand people.
Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Honorable Minister of State (Ministry of Tourism and Culture)said that he is feeling proud to be a part of the event. He also thanked and congratulates Dr. Ram Kishore Agarwal and Sh.PankajAgarwal Chairman and Vice Chairman of the group respectively for the initiative. He also praised efforts of the group for imparting quality higher education.
In his welcome speech Vice chairman of the institute Sh. PankajAgarwal said that the country that suffered slavery is the very country that has been admired by many in the West. We need to be proud of that legacy. He also quoted Albert Einstein and Mark Twain who had all praise for India and Indian Culture. He asked audience to join him in taking pledge for doing all duties with courage, devotion and dedication it deserves and instated that every glbian should do his part to build the India that will make people like Swami Vivekananda happy to see that his people have again arisen and will stop not till the goal is reached.

Chairman of the group Dr. Ram Kishore Agarwal said that Tri-colour hoisting is a re-affirmation of the fact that patriotism is still alive and has been teaching us lessons in love, culture, respect, discipline and duty. He said that this national flag at G.L. Bajaj campus will be a constant reminder for all the glbians towards their duty of building the India where equality and prosperity go hand in hand.

In between the program the tunes of ‘SareJahan se Achha’ and ‘VandeMataram’and booming of ‘ye deshhai veer jawanoka’ among other songs atop the hill where many attendees appeared in flag-painted face while others wore stickers of Indian flags. It later made many remark: “The energy and enthusiasm was similar to 15 August.” Unlashing of hundreds of tri colourballonsadded specialcolour to the occasion. In the patriotism charged environment where students in colourful dresses stood in tricolour pattern, the whole campus looked tricolored.
