Social organisation to protest at collector office to regulate fees ordinance 2018

Greater Noida (04/01/19) : The Uttar Pradesh cabinet earlier had approved an ordinance to regulate the fees being charged by private schools, including minority institutions, affiliated to CBSE, ICSE and the UP Board of Secondary Education. This decision is been taken by the state government seeking concern of displeasure faced by parents because regular fee hike by private schools.
But even after month of this ordinance thr regulations was not proper manner as school kept on charging exorbitant fees in the name of transportation, hostel, mess, educational tours etc. Now for ensuring the proper implementation of this law, a city based social organization named “Siksha Adhikar Andolan” along with different social groups will be conducting a protest at collector office Surajpur around 10:30 in the morning on December 7.
During their protest they will meet DM B N Singh and will present him a draft for ensuring the implementation of regulation of fees ordinance 2018 in all schools of district. The draft will also raise the issue of security arrangements in the school.
As per the new law, schools can’t charge admission fee for every new academic session and event cant collect tuition fee on yearly basis. The schools are also not allowed to increase fee or change school uniform for 5 years.
