This Ram Navmi, know how Ram belongs to not just mankind, but Entire Creation.

Ram navmi falls on the ninth day of the waxing moon in the month of chaitra. The day marks the birth Shri Ram, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and is commonly seen as a hindu holiday.

Let us delve a little deeper on the term ‘hindu’.

The term ‘hindu’, as a vast majority of people who live in Bharat identifies themselves with, which many mistake to be a religion, was actually coined by the Persians to refer to the people who lived on this side of the Indus river. Till that time there was no concept of religion in Bharat and nobody was a hindu. In fact, till the time of Mahabharat, that is, dwapar yuga, even surnames did not exist. Lord Rama was on earth at a time much before the Mahabharat, referred to as the treta yug…at that time, there was definitely no religion nor “hindus”. How he became a hindu god and his birthday, a hindu festival, beats all logic.

These were the times of the vedic rishis, the rishis who lived by the principles of nature and balance and had access to the deepest secrets of creations in the form of Vedas. Vedas again, are not religious texts, in fact, they are not even texts – they are science encompassing within the folds all aspects known and unknown to the human mind, that was revealed to the rishis in deep states of dhyan, and can be accessed by anyone through the correct practices of ashtang yoga and sanatan kriya, irrespective of the part of the world they are living in.

Rama refers not to a hindu god, because when ram was born on the day of ram navmi, there was no such thing as hindu, he represents the goodness and positivity in creation and took birth to restore the order in the entire creation. He did not take birth to create a religion or favour one community, he belongs to not just mankind, but entire creation. As he was born on ramnavmi, constellations were such at that time that a phenomenal force could take a body. And that same constellation comes back on this date hence making the day a very powerful vortex of energy for all those who choose to benefit from it.

Once simple practice which is to be prescribed on this day is to be aware of your manipoorak chakra and chant RAM out aloud while sitting in vajrasan and gradually decrease the volume till ram is chanted in silence. It is important to connect and maintain the internal awareness of your Guru all through the practice.

Detailed practice can be had from the website.
