Yogendra Yadav Demands Immediate Relief For Tamil Nadu Farmers

Ongoing protest of Tamil Nadu farmers at Jantar-Mantar was today joined by Swaraj India founder Yogendra Yadav.
Yogendra accompanied by Jai Kisan Covener Avik Shah raised demands for an early resolution of this protest which has been going on for about two weeks in National capital.

These farmers have displayed skulls and bones of farmers that have committed suicide in past few years. High level committe of Union Government last week approved a financial assistance of Rs 2,014 crore. Tamil Nadu government is asking for a loan waiver and other measures to the tune of 39,000 crore.

Speaking at protest Mr. Yogendra Yadav today said that they have been fighting for farmers right since lastany years. As for plight of Tamil Nadu farmers they will move to Supreme Court to demand adequate relief measures. He assured that Avik Shah and senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan would file a petition in Supreme Court in this regard.

Yogendra Yadav also informed that he plans to take a tour of all drought hit areas of Tamil Nadu in month of May.
