Doc ill-treated rape survivors: Prachi
GHAZIABAD: Firebrand religious preacher Sadhvi Prachi on Tuesday sought to give a communal twist to the Bulandshahr gang rape case by demanding that the medical examination of the survivors be conducted by a ‘Hindu doctor’. She alleged that the rape survivors were ill-treated by the doctor who first performed their medical examination. She was speaking to media persons after visiting the family members of the rape survivors in Ghaziabad on Tuesday.
She spent nearly 45 minutes with the family.
Prachi also supported the BJP’s demand for a CBI inquiry into the case. Terming the current probe into the case as “highly unsatisfactory”, she said that earlier the police had come up with different names for the accused.
“I want to request the Uttar Pradesh CM that he should stop giving protection to the criminals and the rapists who are being given patronage by minister Azam Khan,” Prachi told media persons. She claimed that the family is not satisfied with the medical report. “I demand that the medical examination be re-conducted by a Hindu lady doctor in Delhi,” she said.
