Grand Finale of DLF Cyber City Cykulothon concludes with great enthusiasm and fun fare
Gurugram, 5thAugust 2016: The DLF Cybercity Cykulothon 2016, an indoor cycling event conducted in association with a cycling promoting start-up -CYKUL, to promote health and wellness awareness amongst corporate employees, concluded today. The event was started on 15th July 2016 at DLF Cyber Hub Amphitheater, Gurgaon and spreaded over 3 weeks across several venues in Gurgaon.
In the Grand Finale event held today at Cyber Hub amphitheater – Gurgaon, where 2 winning teams from each venue in the preliminary round engaged in a final showdown to decide on a winner. Team 16 from Axtria, building 14, DLF Cyber City emerged victorious with a total of 1.907 kms clocked on the Cykul-o-computers by the team members. The newly crowned DLF Cybercity Cykulothon Champion 2016 was awarded with a trophy and all other participants received certificates.
Mr. Amit Khatri, Additional Commissioner, MCG; Mr. Rohit Yadav, Joint commissioner, MCG; Mr. Balbir Singh, DCP, Crime; RtnDilip Grover, president, Rotary club of Gurgaon and Mr. Harikrishna Bhanushree, Deputy Director, CII were some of the dignitaries of Gurgaon who graced the event.
About the event DLF offices spokesperson, said “We are overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response at each of the venues in the preliminary round. The huge turn-out enabled us to reach a large audience in spreading awareness on the importance of health and wellness. The event was a success in its stated objective and I encourage our winners and everyone here to actively incorporate health and wellness building activities in our everyday lives”.
The Event received overwhelming responses with total number of 2600 participants from more than 67 companies from the cybercity participated. Participants in teams of three pedaled specially rigged stationary cycles for one minutes each, in a test of fitness and endurance. The event presented a unique opportunity for participants to unwind and have some fun.
The winning team took home 3 brand new cycles and also the individual who scored the maximum in the entire series received a 21-Gear cycle.
