The incumbent Congress is staring at a decimation in Uttarakhand elections as it is increasingly becoming clear that the BJP might just upstage it in the state with the party leading with as many as 55 seats. Congress is currently trailing at 13 seats. What now remains to be seen is the margin of majority secured by the party. Meanwhile, CM Harish Rawat is trailing from Haridwar Rural and Kichha with a huge margin. The state has 70 assembly seats and the fight is squarely between the Congress and BJP. Around 12 noon, a final picture could well emerge on who would be the major players in the five states.
